dam Reed, is currently President of Los Angeles based production company, Thinkfactory Media and has created and produced over 500 hours of television including such shows as Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Dead of Winter: The Donner Party, Married by Mom & Dad, Preachers’ Daughters and the Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars and R&B Divas franchises.
He has always enjoyed writing and creating content that people of all ages can consume and enjoy. Before his daughter was born in 2015, he had a dream and in it heard a voice tell him "write children's books." The next morning he woke up and wrote his first book BEE IN THE SEA, which was published in mid 2015. BEE IN THE SEA has already received national attention by being awarded three first place Royal Dragonfly Awards, including Best New Author. He then went on to win first place in the Purple Dragonfly Awards for general excellence in children’s literature, and was recognized as a finalist in the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. He is currently finishing his next two books.
Reed is also an established commercial director, having been shortlisted at Cannes, and directing the largest campaign in the history of the Partnership for a Drug-Free America, garnering both national and international acclaim which became one of the most successful commercial campaigns ever created. Reed lives in Playa Del Rey with his wife and young daughter, which is who his first book is dedicated to.
